I'm reviewing some of the comments on my blog, and I see I told you this grave is in Raleigh, but it's in Louisburg - just as the caption under the photo says! :)

RenateRenate Yarborough Sandershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05289031155721526652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7039019633646767354.post-64146212340770294602011-01-12T10:47:24.674-05:002011-01-12T10:47:24.674-05:00I love the name Jacobina. It was not a common name there, either, since it is not a Saint Name (catholic) we suspect she was from a converso (Jewish) family. Old testament names were common in New England, but I had never seen it here until your photo from North Carolina.Heather Wilkinson Rojohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17704949156266722016noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7039019633646767354.post-1937038801124403222011-01-11T21:13:19.433-05:002011-01-11T21:13:19.433-05:00Hey Mavis,

The majority of my ancestors lie in unmarked graves in "Colored" Cemeteries, or in locations that will not likely ever be identified.
Oh, and yes, this tombstone is a Raleigh Cemetery. Thanks for reminding me that I needed to add the location, as well as the source information!

RenateRenate Yarborough Sandershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05289031155721526652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7039019633646767354.post-10601533829613823822011-01-11T19:16:14.217-05:002011-01-11T19:16:14.217-05:00How fabulous is that.
