I even knew some of her story, but only after she passed (and I had time to grow up a little) did I realize how hard her life must have been. You cannot be hard on yourself for not treasuring them while they are here! (I'm speaking to myself as much as you!) It takes time and a little life experience before we realize what a gift our elders our.
